If you were to take an x-ray of your leadership, you would find that it includes two horizontal dimensions. (Remember, leadership reflects influence.)
The horizontal dimensions of spiritual leadership:
As a Christian, how much effort do you focus on character?Which is most important, do you think? Is it character or competency? If you ask those who know how to lead, the greatest issue is integrity. It is a character issue.
Who you are will take you farther than what you do.
So, why do so many churches constantly challenge people to do something? Churches are overloaded with programs. Those involved are exhausted.
- And churches continue to decline.
Who you are is more important than what you do.
- More important to God.
- More important for your church.
- More important for your community.
Why don’t churches focus more on growing people in Scriptural DNA rather than burn them out through programs?
Character will stand the test of time.
